CHRISTIANITY ON LITERATURE ON READERS (PERSUASIVE ESSAY)

CHRISTIANITY  ON LITERATURE ON READERS

Literature is one of the most interesting fields of study in English not only because it has been the source of inspiration and entertainment for most readers but also it serves as an avenue for the students to improve the level of their fluency both in oral and written expressions.

Literature covers a wide scope of influence such as in culture, politics, and civilization and even in Christianity. This influence in Christianity was manifested even during the 11th and 12th centuries. During the Anglo-Norman period, religious works predominated such as Ormulum, a metrical translation of the gospels and Handlying Synne, a series of metrical homilies on the seven deadly sins and many other literatures began to appear during this years. Among these were: Ancren Riwle, a prose manual for the religious guidance of nuns, and Poema Morale, the first important poem in English in which end rime appears. These manifestations lead the students to comprehend on the influence of Christianity on literature. This enables every student to avoid groping for the proper answers to questions and difficulties present to literary piece that tackles or deal with Christianity. Understanding Christianity on literature develops a keener sensitiveness to things about life, a clearer understanding and knowledge on this influence, a more balance sense of values. Aside from enriching one’s imaginations, analyzing different emotions and broadening one’s life.

It may be hard to point out the peaks and prominences of literature’s terrain but comprehending to the message it conveys and identifying its influences in any aspects will give you a clearer understanding and provides the readers an arresting view of different time and era just by reading and without so much use of resources. Thus, for those young men and women to achieve a more balance outlook in life and in faith, they should be encouraged to read and comprehend literature.
