Poverty: A Hindrance or A Challenge?

PERSUASIVE

Do you believe that poverty is a hindrance to success? Some might say yes because they cannot afford to go to school, provide their basic needs and experience a more comfortable life. In contrast, having no enough resources is not a basis to achieve your hopes and dreams and be a productive citizen of our country.

Are you familiar with some people who were poverty-stricken but advanced to a prosperous life? There are some who were born with a silver spoon but later on became impoverished. So I think your success only lies in your hands.

One best thing that you can do to uplift yourself is through education. If money will be a hindrance to get an education you can work while studying. You can apply for a part time job. Self- reliance and strength of mind and body are what you should have this time. Eagerness to accomplish something is also a must. By means of education, you can be very suitable for work.

It is usual that you sometimes feel so weak. In life, there are always ups and downs. You should learn how to dance in the rhythm of any kind of music. You should not let this weak spot devour you. You should be determined to work out any barrier because this is the best way to know better yourself and to strengthen your capabilities. This would surely improve your personality and succeed later. Remember, “There is no failure. It is only a delayed success”.

Let us always be positive and cheerful. There’s always a rainbow after the rain. You should also instill your mentality that being successful does not only mean that you have much money, properties and the like. Being victorious means that you achieved your goals, you are happy and satisfied on what you have and you have friends around you.

I disagree with those persons who say that they can’t do anything about their condition. There are loads of ways to kick poverty. I believe what William Ernest Henley says in his poem “Invictus” that you are the master of your fate; and you are the captain of your soul.
